Rebekah Miller

Rebekah has been a Physiotherapist for 12 years, graduating with her Physiotherapy degree in 2000. In 2007 Rebekah completed a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy, endorsed in Neurological Rehabilitation, in 2007.

Rebekah has been involved in Neurological physiotherapy since graduating in 2000. Initially she worked with children with a range of conditions including Cerebral Palsy, head injuries and spinal cord injuries. During this time Rebekah also assisted physiotherapy students in their learning as a clinical tutor.

In 2005 Rebekah was employed by the Otago School of Physiotherapy in Dunedin. In this role she ran the Balance Clinic as well as working with people with stroke, head injury, concussion and spinal cord injury.

Since moving to Christchurch in 2007 Rebekah has opened Balance Works Physiotherapy In this clinic she has assisted many people suffering from balance, dizziness and vestibular disorders. In 2009 Rebekah undertook a course with Susan Herdman, a world-renowned therapist in the treatment of vestibular disorders.

Rebekah also runs classes on behalf of the Stroke Foundation at stroke groups around Christchurch and Rangiora.

Rebekah has been a research assistant providing state of the art therapy for people with spinal cord injury.

Rebekah provides services to Rehab People Ltd and PELIM Ltd assisting people with a range of accident related injuries including Concussion, Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury.

Rebekah's areas of interest and expertise include:

• The treatment of dizziness, vertigo and balance problems
• Rehabilitation of concussion, head injuries and spinal cord injuries
• Neurological rehabilitation in conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke and Parkinson's disease
• Rebekah continues to undertake professional development in treatment of neurological and vestibular problems.
